The South Florida home of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine (Daniel Hernandez) was the site of a terrifying ordeal over the weekend when four armed gunmen reportedly invaded the residence, holding the rapper’s 60-year-old mother against her will.
The chilling incident unfolded on Sunday night while the rapper was not present at the house. According to reports from TMZ, four masked men, all carrying handguns, forced their way into the home in the Lake Worth area, allegedly searching for the rapper’s cash and car keys.
Mother Restrained as Home Ransacked
Sources indicate that 6ix9ine’s mother was alone at the time and was confronted by the armed men. She was reportedly restrained outside the property while the suspects ransacked the home looking for valuables. She is confirmed to be safe following the incident.
The rapper himself confirmed to TMZ that he was not at the house, instead reportedly being on a livestream with YouTube star Jack Doherty when the break-in occurred.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene for a “home invasion robbery/burglary in progress.” Deputies and a K-9 unit searched the property but did not locate the suspects, who are believed to have fled in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived.
No arrests have been announced, and the investigation is ongoing. This latest event adds to the string of high-profile incidents involving the controversial rapper, who has faced numerous legal issues in recent years.
