iPhone Pocket, born out of a collaboration between ISSEY MIYAKE and Apple, will be available at select Apple Store locations beginning Friday, November 14.
Apple is making a major style statement with the iPhone Pocket, a high-fashion accessory created in collaboration with Japanese design house ISSEY MIYAKE. This is a wearable “extra pocket”—not a traditional case—that blends tech utility with avant-garde design.
Design & Material Facts
Inspired by ISSEY MIYAKE’s famous “a piece of cloth” philosophy, the accessory uses a unique singular 3D-knitted construction.
• Material: It is a synthetic blend: 85% Polyester, 14% Nylon, and 1% Polyurethane.
• Function: The ribbed, stretchy mesh fully encloses your iPhone (8 and later) and expands to hold small items like keys or AirPods. You can subtly view your phone screen without fully removing the device.
Style & Price
Apple confirms the iPhone Pocket is available in two strap lengths:
• Short Strap: Priced at $149.95. Available in eight vibrant colors.
• Long Strap (Crossbody): Priced at $229.95. Available in three select colors.
The release is set for Friday, November 14, at select Apple Stores and apple.com.
The Verdict
This accessory highlights a shared commitment to “craftsmanship, simplicity, and delight,” according to Apple. The iPhone Pocket is a bold, luxury item that redefines how users “wear” their technology.
